Narcissus Rising

last weekend i went to a real nice party where they gave us all mossy little pots with narcissus bulbs in em on our way out the door.

last night i took the pot into the kitchen and dumped out its contents on the counter.

i threw away the ribbon. i put the "peat pellet" into the pot, added water, and watched it grow (quickly!):

 

then i arranged the four li'l bulbs on top, tucked em into their moss blanket, added a bit of water, and set the pot back by the window. they should grow and bloom in six weeks.
