Marsbound by Joe Haldeman

(this picture is small because the book sucks)

I was hoping for an interesting short take on Mars colonization. Something half as in depth and half as interesting as, say, Kim Stanley Robinson's Red/Green/Blue Mars trilogy would have satisfied me. Instead, this book made me throw up in my mouth. Written for either 12 year olds or obese idiots taking a break from the latest Danielle Steele novel for a little romp through that science fiction stuff, perhaps. It's awful. I don't plan to read anything else by Haldeman. Camouflage was, it seems, a happy accident of my Laundry Room Library, and not a sign of some great author I'd been missing out on.
